Terms of service.
The plain-language agreement between you and BotShield. Last updated August 2026.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, calling the API, or adding the widget to a site, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, do not use the service.
2. The service
BotShield provides bot-detection signals, signed verification tokens, and analytics dashboards. Final decisions on requests remain yours, made on your infrastructure.
3. Accounts & keys
You are responsible for safeguarding secret keys. Rotate them from the dashboard any time. Activity performed with your keys is your activity.
4. Fair use
Free tiers are for genuine projects. Abuse, credential stuffing, spam, or reselling capacity without a license gets keys revoked and accounts suspended.
5. Billing & plans
Paid plans activate on a grace basis until Stripe checkout launches. When billing goes live, plans renew monthly and you can downgrade at any time.
6. Availability
We target 99.9% uptime on paid plans and communicate incidents openly. The service is provided as-is during the public beta.
7. Intellectual property
The core engine is open source under MIT. The hosted service, brand, and dashboards remain property of Brave HX Technology.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last twelve months.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced at least 14 days in advance on this page and by email where we have one.
